10mi Obstacle Mud Race
Dear family and friends,
Yesterday I was coerced into signing up for a fairly tough physical challenge. Its a 10 mile obstacle race designed by british special forces nicknamed “ironman meets burning man.” It spans across 2500 vertical feet of squaw valley terrain including fire trenches, underwater “tunnels,” greased monkey bars and balance beams over freezing water, and rope courses laced with random 10,000 volt wires.
It’s 227 days away, allowing ample training time. But the sign-up fee is kind of steep. I already paid it, but I still might not even complete this race (kinda scared of the electric shock part). See, I have no problem wasting my own money on this, but with your help, we can get this done… cuz it would kill me to lose your money. Care to help with the entry fee? Donations as low as $2 will get you a space on my race shirt where i’ll put your name or logo. (Benefits of the race go to the Wounded Warrior Project.)
Instead of donating, why not go?
For those of you interested in joining me in this amazing adventure that will keep you working out and training hard for the whole year, forget the donation, just sign up (Sat. 10am start group). Entry fees increase every 30 days. Don’t think about it, just do it. (I’ll share a portion of my donations if you sign up by Feb 15)
Sincerely,
Tim
Why Crossfit works before you even start a workout

I’m pretty new to the system, but I’ve noticed some pretty amazing things about Crossfit. For many gym goers, just getting to the gym consistently is more important then what routine you do when you get there. If you can keep up with any reasonable workout routine consistently you will notice some type of results. The problem is staying consistent. Read more
Why have a blog
Blogs are stupid
When personal blogs started exploding onto the internet over the past 5 years I thought they were stupid. Who cares what joe blow thinks about XYZ. 95% of all the blog articles out there are crap and mine is no different. I don’t even know enough about any particular subject to write the type of bold assertions that people want to read. Read more
